This weekend my sister and her children came down for a visit. (Of course we had to go to a few thrift stores.) At the Salvation Army we found this green velvet chair. It was in excellent condition and so we stuffed it into the back of the minivan and bought it home.
You can surely tell the difference with the pictures I took with my little point and shoot and the photos my sister took with her fancy camera. (The first picture is more of the actual color of the chair while this picture that I took is more washed out.)
Check out those curves!
I like how the legs are curved in the back as well as the front. (Those aren't faded areas on the fabric, it's just the sun filtering through the trees overhead.)
We decided that the chair would go in my daughter's room so she started styling it before we even took it into the house.
I thought about painting and reupholstering the chair but it's in such great condition. I think the green is kinda cool so I looked around at some other green chairs.
Gold and green vintage.
I like the purple and green combo.
A little fancy.
Another green chair shot in the great outdoors.
A truly vintage chair! Do you remember this Fisher Price Little People seat?
An authentic "green" chair for those with a deep appreciation for nature.
For those who like the grass without the nature.
What can I say? I'm in chair love.
