The Art of Partying

Everyone loves a good party!

Not THIS kind of party. (Although it does look quite festive!)

I'm talking about a blogging or link party. A blog will host a gathering (party) of projects or ideas from many different blogs. It is a way for bloggers to share ideas, brag a little and discover cool new blogs.

Usually the blogger will host a weekly party on the same day each week.

Funky Junk Interiors hosts a huge party each Saturday. Her party consists of three different categories: Home decor, crafts and a theme party with a new category each week. Funky Junk Interiors was one of the first parties I linked up with.

I have a number of "buttons" (or icons) of the different parties I share my projects with on the right side of my own blog.

One of the good things about the link parties is discovering new project ideas. Here are a few projects that stood out to me this week.

I just love this mirror from Brooke at All Things Thrifty. She actually designed and made the mirror herself.

Lucy from Lucy Designs did a wonderful job transforming a clock into an interesting table. (I especially like the three different legs.)

And Suzy from Suzy's Artsy-- Crafty Sitcom made these wonderful soaps. (Great idea for Mother's Day.)

So if you're a blogger, I highly recommend linking up your projects to a blog party. If you don't have a blog of your own, then you can still look at all the ideas and projects that other people submit.

And if not, well then, the outdoor party is looking pretty good too...
