In my own defense, I just finished painting two items this afternoon and I did not use Southern Breeze. (So there!)
I found this caddy at Goodwill. It already had some nice distressing but I wanted a different color.

I found this tray at another Goodwill a few months ago. I liked the brown wood but not the burnt edged butterfly poem.
I took off the paper and sanded it. It is heavy wood and I've been getting a lot of use out of it. I decided I wanted to paint it, too.
So here is the caddy in the new color I chose with a little distressing. The color is Krylon Catalina Mist.
I originally planned on using it for a toilet paper caddy in the kids' bathroom but that idea was vetoed. (Apparently THIS blue is too much like THAT blue--can you believe it?)

Here is the tray in Catalina Mist. (I ended up distressing it after the photo was taken.) Love how it turned out!

No worries. I can definitely use it myself.

So I guess I can understand the children's perception that I have an "obsession" with painting everything the color blue. No problem. I can stop painting it anytime I want. Really, I can.
(Just as soon as I finish painting this bathroom and a few other items....)

Absolutely gorgeous transformation on both pieces! I love all those blues!
ReplyDeleteThose colors are gorgeous. I am a major aqua/turquoise/sea glass, Tiffany blue, etc. addict. Just about every shade of blue/green falls in my "favorite color" spectrum. I have so much turquoise stuff in my house, but I love it! And that is all that matters, right?
