Here is a beautiful dining room by Candice Olson. She is known for her sophisticated designs with soft and soothing colors. I love Candice's style and elegance.
Here is a beautiful dining room by Betsey Johnson. I really like her style, too. It's very colorful, fresh and modern.
I would have to say that my own style is more Candice Olson (without the huge budget) than Betsey Johnson. The color palette I have now is more simple and soothing. I would love to incorporate more color in my home like Betsey but something is holding me back. (Yes, I'm a little chicken.) I'm not sure why since I do find that style appealing. My children have been bugging me for years to bring more color into our home. I'm sure they would be happy to live in a home as colorful as the cover of Kim Parker's Home.
In order to start getting rid of my chicken status, I've purchased some raspberry paint.
And I'm going to combine it with this. (Since I've written about it, I can't back out now, right?)
So hopefully tomorrow I will have a great new reveal for you. And instead of a chicken, I'm going to try to be this. (No, not a lion with a big tongue!) Brave. I'm going to try to be brave with my decorating choices by trying new things and colors.
