Bedroom Redo Sneak Peek

I have a vision for my bedroom. I really do. Unfortunately the changes are not happening all at once in one big fabulous reveal. Instead I'm working on it little by little. (The thought of repainting this room is anything but pleasant! But the gold must go.)

Here is a before picture of the nightstand area on my husband's side of the bed. I like the vintage lamp but overall it looks plain and without a definite style. I found some replacement nightstands at Goodwill and painted them white. (See nightstand redo here.) Even that simple change lightens up the room.

I shopped the house for the lamps which were being used in other areas. (They were from T.J.Maxx.) The shades I found just yesterday at Goodwill. They were new and still had the plastic and store tags on from T.J. Maxx. I had been looking for twin mirrors to go behind the lamps on each side. I found two at Marshalls that I liked. I had planned on painting them white originally but think I will keep them in this champagne color for awhile. At least until I finish painting the room.

The white down comforter I bought at Salvation Army for $4.99. The mirror over the bed will find a new home soon. (My son thought a shot of his elbow would be good styling for the picture.)

So there is a sneak peek at my bedroom redo. Hopefully it will be finished for a big reveal at the end of the Summer. (Keeping my fingers crossed...)
