Father's Day Napkin and Surprise Tablecloth

In honor of Father's Day I discovered a new way to fold a dinner napkin. (Unfortunately, the green napkin for the tie was a little wrinkled.) The white cloth napkin I found at Goodwill a few months back.

The tablecloth is actually a king size duvet cover that was at another Goodwill. When I was there I saw a woman spending a lot of time looking at this beautiful blue fabric so I hovered nearby to see if she was going to buy it. Finally she hung it back on the rack with a puzzled look on her face. I pretended to look at something else until she walked to the end of the aisle before I pounced on it. The fabric was quite smooth and heavy duty but didn't have a price tag. The woman noticed that I was looking at it and rushed back over to me asking if I knew what it was. Once I picked it up I realized that it was a duvet cover. It looked new and I thought it would work great as a tablecloth. The woman didn't say she wanted it or was planning on buying it so I quickly put it in my cart and wheeled up to the check out counter. It ended up being only $3.99! Perfect for a Father's Day table setting.

I really like the pattern. There is enough fabric to turn it into drapes for my son's room or even to make a stylish snuggie. So many possibilities...
