I'm in Love with a House (And we haven't even met.)

I have recently discovered the beautiful blog of Joan from for the love of a house. Joan, her husband and cute pup have been renovating a charming New Hampshire farmhouse into their dream home. Her blog, filled with drool worthy photos caught the eye of someone at Renovation Style Magazine. Consequently, Joan's home was recently the star of a photo shoot destined for a future issue of Renovation Style Magazine. How exciting!

Here is the magazine photo stylist with the flowers he brought for the shoot. Pup, Ella is assisting.

One of the secrets of photo styling: moving furniture around and changing the height of objects.

Gorgeous outside shot with the magazine photographer.

Here are some pictures of Joan's kitchen. I absolutely LOVE everything about this room!

Here are some dining room pictures. Vintage crystal chandeliers hang throughout the house.

The master bath. It looks like something out of a magazine. (It will be soon!)

Homey entryway. I really like the hardwoods throughout the house.

The living room. During a photo shoot, the stylist usually brings a number of props and decor (in addition to bushels of flowers) for styling for the photos. Apparently the stylist only needed to bring flowers to Joan's beautiful house during the photo shoot since it was decorated perfectly for photography.

It wasn't only the house that Joan and her husband fell in love with when they were house hunting. The beautiful countryside just felt like home.

Gorgeous Autumn colors.

Breathtaking.

I think I'm in house love...

  1. This post makes me want to live in a New Hampshire farmhouse, too! :) Also, I would love to have a bathroom big enough to accommodate an upholstered arm chair.

  3. thank you Miss Charming!! I am honored to be featured on your "charming" blog!! I love seeing all the photos pulled together in one place (instead of the individual posts on my blog) so this is a treat indeed, thank you!!
