Celebrity Pools

While the mercury continues to climb, thoughts of lounging by refreshing turquoise water comes to mind.

In other words, when it's hot as heck, I wish we had a pool in our backyard. We are fortunate enough to have a pool in our neighborhood so I really shouldn't complain. Although a backyard pool would be pretty nice. (Especially if it was a luxurious celebrity pool and I had the unlimited resources to maintain it's beauty as well as an attractive pool boy.)

So in honor of my pool dreams, we'll play a little game called, "Match the celebrity with his/her pool."

1) Absolutely gorgeous pool with the stone cabana and palm trees (above). This sports celebrity is (was) in incredible shape and did something that no one else in the world has done. He looks good in bicycle shorts.



2) A more modern looking pool with a private jet in the background. This actor is known for his dancing as well as his acting. And even though he had a fever Saturday night, he's still stayin' alive.

3) The pool of wooden wonder. The married actors who own this pool may be considered an odd couple by some but if beautiful faces were paid in Hollywood, they would be millionaires. Oh, wait, they are. And as for the husband, well, let's just say that Charlie Sheen will never be replacing him...

4) A beautiful, elegant poolside home. The actor who calls this place home was once my teenage celebrity crush. (Not enough info?) In his younger years he had been accused of being TOO good looking for the women he dated. (Maybe that's why I thought I had a slight chance...) His name rhymes with Bob Toe.

5) Mediterranean beauty. (I think I would enjoy the pool more if I wasn't staring at the backside of this statue.) The actor who owns this lush escape had the statue erected in honor of a very popular movie character he played. (And no, that isn't a claw on the end of his hand but a boxing glove.) Need any more clues? Just ask Apollo Creed.

6) Simple, yet sophisticated with a killer view. The t.v. personality who owns this lovely retreat has been called the "hardest working man in Hollywood." Aside from being a big time producer, he is also the highest paid television host with the most.

7) Water park wonderland. The musical artist who owns this modest abode has a voice that has carried some of the most popular ballads and love songs. (Titanic, anyone?) This tiny Canadian diva has taken (years) time off her career in the past to devote to her family but is still the best-selling Canadian artist of all time and one of the best-selling artists in the U.S.

I had a difficult time deciding on my favorite. I could imagine myself lounging by the pool in a slimming muumuu sipping a cool beverage and carrying on witty repartee with any of the celebrities listed. How about you?
