Last night a group of about 15 of us girlfriends (and somone's husband) attended the midnight premiere of the newest installment in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn part 1. (No, we are not teenagers and yes, we had a great time.) Our group runs the gamut from some being die hard (squealing) Twilight fans to some having no more than a basic tolerance for the series. It all started a few years ago when Twilight was one of the book selections for our book club. Later on when the first movie came out we decided to make a Girls' Night of it by hitting a restaurant first then the midnight show. It ended up being such a blast! (It really made the movie fun watching it with such an expressive audience, too.) So it has become a tradition for us. It is no longer just a book club thing but a bunch of girlfriends (some living in other cities) getting together specifically for a night of bonding, friendship and fun.
So, today I'm thankful for girlfriends. (And teen movies.) What would we do without them?
