30 Days of Gratitude (Day 22) Thanksgiving.

Today was the last day of school before Thanksgiving break.  It seems that after Halloween the time rushes by until Christmas and Thanksgiving is almost an after thought.  I've been wanting to put up my Christmas tree and decor since the day after Halloween but I decided to really make a point of focusing on the Thanksgiving holiday for the month of November this year.  And I've been writing about gratitude each day this month to remember the little things that make life better.  So now I'm working on the Thanksgiving menu and trying to employ the kids in cleaning the house to a more acceptable level before the relatives arrive tomorrow.   The main thing I'm focusing on is enjoying every moment and not getting bogged down in the details.

So today I'm grateful for Thanksgiving and for the reminder to focus on the many good things in life.

  1. This is SUCH a beautiful picture! I'm going to have to show my mom this picture who thinks she doesn't have room for her serving platters. Usually I love the rich oranges for fall, but this is a nice change.
