We are staying in the Austin area for Spring Break this week and started off the rainy weekend with our own episode of Cookie Wars. My daughter and three of her friends made our kitchen ground zero to one of the sweetest and most competitive food contests. Each of the four started off with the same basic recipe and then did their best in jazzing it up and making it the best tasting. We ended up with a strawberry and white chocolate cookie, a dark chocolate Almond Joy cookie, a Funfetti jam print cookie and a chocolate candy bar cookie. The contest was made official with impartial judges (and glasses of milk.) All the cookies ended up being yummy with the chocolate candy bar and dark chocolate Almond Joy cookies as being the favorites. It was a fun night and the "contestants" even cleaned the kitchen up afterwards. (Mostly.) And I must say that I really enjoyed the leftovers.

Never participated in a food contest but it sounds like a blast! I bet my favorite would have been the almond joy cookie!
