Celebrity Sunday (Home of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith)

In the September issue of Architectural Digest, the Malibu home of actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith was featured.  Here is the Smith family in front of their "Raiders of the Lost Ark" front doors.  Children Trey, Willow and Jaden.

Their home is a massive Adobe style on 150 acres.  (Plenty of room to roam.)

I wonder if they actually cook much in their kitchen or if they have a private chef.  I do like the pattern of the wood floors.

The lighting fixture in their breakfast room reminds me of a hanging plant basket.  There is a beautiful view out the window.  Perfect for an intimate brunch.

The open area of the living room facing the front door.

Here is a view of the living room from the other direction.  It looks like a walk in fireplace on the right with a tremendous view of the walk out terrace.  (Must be great for parties.)

Their son, Jaden has a set of bunk beds in his room.  Notice the director's chair from the movie, "Pursuit of Happyness" which he starred in as a young tot with his dad?  (He was such a cutie.)  More recently he starred in the remake, "Karate Kid."  He also had a chance to get his music career going with an appearance and performance at the Justin Bieber concert in Madison Square Garden.

Their daughter, Willow's high ceilinged room has a canopy bed with colorful lounging sofa.  Willow's own singing career jumped off to a popular start with the teenage hit "Whip My Hair."

The lighting fixtures in the master bedroom seem to have been inspired by "the claw" in the Toy Story Movies.

The master bathroom tub complete with fireplace and view.

Love the terrace off the master bedroom.  It has an outdoor shower head for spraying off during the day (or maybe perhaps a romantic shower at night...)

This little alcove is Jada's meditation room (and cat cave.)  For those moments when she needs to relax from the stresses of celebrity.

Of course, the house of two powerhouse actors would almost certainly have a screening room.  (I wonder if the kids fight over who gets to sit in the "flying carpet" bed?)

Their Adobe style compound sports a number of different rooms including a recording studio.  It's apparent that a lot of thought went into the design of all the details in the home.  (My kids would love to go swimming in the giant pool--maybe I should arrange a play date.)
