Chocolate Pretzel Goodies

A trendy treat right now is combining some sort of chocolate and pretzels together.  I was at a Christmas Cookie/Treat exchange this week and 2/3 of the treats were some form of chocolate and pretzel (much to the chagrin of my children.)  I'm not sure what these treats are actually called.  I've heard them referred to as "Chocolate Buttons" and "Rudolph Noses" among other names.  (I'll probably just stick with Chocolate Pretzel Goodies.)   So here is my take on the popular treat.

I used only three ingredients.  So easy.  Pretzels, Rolos and plain M&M's.

I placed a Rolo on top of each pretzel on a baking sheet.  (There should have been more but unfortunately a significant amount disappeared the night before.)  I popped them in the oven at 225 degrees for about 5 mins.  The chocolate held it's shape but was very soft.

After they were out of the oven I pushed an M&M on the top of each Rolo.  I just started grabbing any M&M and then thought that I should focus on traditional Christmas Colors.  They needed to cool a bit before I put them in the fridge.  I then left them in the fridge for a few minutes to firm up.

And that's it.  They were so easy to make.  My kids complained but my husband and I made short work of them.  It's a simple treat that most children (other than mine) should like.

  8. Don't be upset with those silly kids of yours. If they had liked them you 2 adults would not have any. Now you know what to make for yourself and not be worried that they will disappear in the blink of an eye.
