My Giant Enamelware Bowl

I stopped by the Goodwill today and as I walked down the aisle of pots and pans my heart skipped a beat as I spied a wonderful find.  (Yes, I do get excited finding treasures at thrift stores.)

A giant enamelware bowl was just sitting there waiting for me.  (And I mean super big.)  It was 21 inches across the top and in great condition.  On the bottom of the bowl it was engraved "Made in Czechoslovakia" with some numbers.

I put some fresh greens and added  pinecones and ornaments for a little Christmas vignette.

You can see a close up of the blue stripe around the rim.

So here is my new giant bowl.  Kind of an early Christmas gift to myself.  (I think it's kind of awesome.)

  1. Awesome? Uh, YA! So amazing! I totally get the 'rush' of finding a great treasure. I often experience the same adrenaline rush when I find vintage cups & saucers.

  3. Finding 'stuff' is incredibly exciting. There is a charity warehouse at the end of our road and I seriously would go there every day if I had time. Love the enamelware bowl you found.
