All You Need is LOVE

We're only in the middle of January but decorating for Valentine's Day is already in full swing.  I'm still working on my mantel decor but I was able to do a little side project with some of the (many) picture frames I have stashed around the house.

I love the graphic printables that are so hot right now and so I decided to make some of my own.  (In a Valentine's theme, of course.)  I gathered up a few small frames from the Goodwill and planned on painting them white.

I remembered I had these glittery letters that I had picked up at Walmart half price at the after Christmas sale.  The glitter letters inspired me to change my original plan.  I decided not to paint the frames but to leave them in their natural burnished gold.  Then I grabbed some aluminum foil.

I crinkled the foil a bit (shiny side out) and then just framed it with a glitter letter.  So easy and simple.

I "love" how it turned out.  Something fun for Valentine's Day that isn't the expected red or pink.

I also found a small bust while I was shopping at Goodwill.  It was a mottled bluish grey color with a shiny finish.

Kilz spray primer and Rustoleum Heirloom White spray paint transformed her back to her classic roots.  (Now if only she had a name.)

They found a home on the top of the piano.  The room is a little fancier so the gold and silver fit right in.

Which Valentine projects are YOU working on?

  7. Oh, so charming, Miss Charming! I love the bust and agree she looks much more elegant a refined in her white lovliness. As for V'day decorations, I'm thinking of doing a few burlap hearts? Maybe some monogrammed lovliness, too. I'll keep you posted. Much love, Lisa

  9. Very elegant lady. The glitter letters on foil is a so glamorous idea. Could easily make your own glitter letters with number stencils, glue and glitter too.

  10. What i do not realize is actually how you're no longer actually much more neatly-preferred than you may be right now. You're so intelligent. You understand thus significantly in relation to this subject, produced me individually consider it from a lot of varied angles. Its like women and men don't seem to be fascinated until it's something to do with Lady gaga! Your own stuffs great. All the time handle it up!
