Easter Inspiration

Easter is approaching in less than a week and I thought it would be nice to get a little holiday inspiration from the pros.  Crafty Martha Stewart always has a way with making the ordinary, extraordinary.  A standard Easter basket with eggs, goodies and filler goes from simple to sophisticated with a monochromatic palette.  Clover, giant ribbons, various tones of green and a chocolate friend comprise this delightful centerpiece.  The green is gorgeous but I think this would look smashing in other palettes as well.  (An all white design might be interesting, too.)

Eggs used as planters or vases is nothing new but this trio by Martha Stewart is so lovely.  The lavender eggs really bring the whole look together.  This is such an easy craft that can be quite beautiful.  I have a few pastel egg cups I bought on clearance last year at Marshalls that I'm going to use to create my own look.

Country Living Magazine made a pair of simple paper mache bowls that become quite Springlike with the addition of beautiful pastel eggs.  It inspires me to find other non traditional Easter egg containers from around my house.  (Top hat, anyone?)

This Better Homes and Gardens Spring bouquet is lovely on it's own but paired with a jar of colorful eggs gives it a more festive and unexpected look.  (The eggs could also be replaced with candy or another holiday item.)

Some great Easter ideas.  I'd better get to crafting!

What is some of your favorite Easter decor?

  4. Great pictures and inspiration. I can't wait to see how you you tweak it to make it your own. I LOVE the first picture of the chocolate bunny in the basket, but I want to bite off his cute little ears.
